We didn’t think that the Mountain Buggy Duet could get any better, but it has. Whilst it may look and feel the same, every feature has been modified to become more convenient and more practical for parents in the fast lane with one or more children.

The harness is a 5-point padded safety harness, great for younger children because they can’t figure out how to wriggle out of it. A tail-free harness means there is never any extra fabric hovering around and it is easy to adjust as your child grows. The seat reclines from upright to a lie-flat position meaning the Duet can be used for children from birth. Because of this, the Duet V2.5 is ideal for parents having twins or those looking for a double buggy to seat a newborn and an older sibling.
The Duet V2.5 comes with two reversible and removable seat liners. These not only make a smaller child more cosy and snug, but also enhances their comfort too.
The Duet V2.5’s wheels have 10 inch air-filled tyres. They are superb for travelling over all terrain types and make pushing effortless. The front swivel wheels are lockable which aids pushing over uneven ground.
The Duet is renowned for being as wide as a single stroller, but with 2 seats. At 24.5 inches (or 63cm) at its widest point, the Duet can fit through any standard size doorway. This makes the thought of shopping in town much less stressful!
The Mountain Buggy Duet V2.5 is able to absorb all the bumps of the path, offering a smooth ride for your two riders. It also features a ‘kerb pop’ which aids pushing onto the path, especially useful when navigating the city.
The durable handlebar is comfy to grip and can be adjusted in height from 78–106cm; perfect for pushers of all heights. The foot brake is easy to use, only needing a gentle tap to become engaged. There is also a handy runaway strap – great for safe crossing of the road.
Who’d have thought that folding this buggy could have become any easier than it already was? Mountain Buggy have really outdone themselves with the new fold of the Duet v2.5. It only needs one hand to be able to fold it super quickly, in one easy movement, using the button located above the footplate. It also now features an auto-lock clip.
On top of the simplicity of the fold, the Mountain Buggy Duet V2.5 can also stand independently when folded. This is a fab feature because many double buggies can often be too large to store conveniently. With all fabrics staying off of the floor, the Duet won’t even get dirty if you fold it up when out and about.
Each seat has an individual sun canopy featuring a pop-out sun visor for an extra bit of protection. They also feature a peek-a-boo window, enabling parents to check on both children without disturbing them. The canopies have a UPF 50+ rating, your children will be protected even on the sunniest days.
The under seat storage basket can hold up to 5kg of weight, with more than enough space to hold everything you and the children will need. A bottle holder is also included with the Duet V2.5 and attaches easily to the side of the buggy, creating a space to hold you or the kids’ drinks.
The Mountain Buggy Duet V2.5 can be transformed into a travel system, with the ability to hold different combinations of car seats, carrycots and seat units. There are many compatible car seats for the Duet V2.5, including the Maxi-Cosi Pebble and the Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix. These can be fitted using the Mountain Buggy Duet Car Seat Adaptors.
A compatible carrycot is the Mountain Buggy Duet Carrycot or the Mountain Buggy Duet Carrycot Plus, which allows baby to lie flat, lie flat with an incline or use as a rear-facing seat. Being able to mix and match the seating variations is an innovative feature not seen on the Duet before, and provides more options for families with twins or siblings.
This Duet V2.5 is made with growing families in mind. It can adapt from a single to a double stroller in seconds, yet it can also take variations of car seats and carrycots. With the use of the Mountain Buggy Duet Joey Tote Bag one seat can be used to carry shopping if you only need to take one child out with you. This huge storage basket can hold up to 44lbs in storage and features 2 inner totes for your convenience.
For the colder months, the Duet Single Storm Cover or Duet Double Storm Cover will keep the rain out and keep your little ones warm and dry inside – especially with the use of a Mountain Buggy Sleeping Bag. The Lambswool and Micro-Suede Liner can be used all year round to keep the seat more comfortable. However if it’s sun you see a lot of, why not add a Double Sun Cover.
An extra passenger wanting to hop on? Why not add the Mountain Buggy Freerider that simply attaches to the rear of the buggy with the Freerider Connector. It is ideal for toddlers who want to be independent for the majority of the time, but occasionally hitch a ride with mum or dad.
Looking for those extra accessories to really make this buggy your own? Why not add the Shade Stick Stroller Umbrella which can move freely or the Cup Holder that attaches to the side Mountain Buggy stroller. We also found that the Mountain Buggy Tyre Pump comes in handy for those air-filled tyres because they act much like bicycle tyres – occasionally needing re-inflating.
